Road Hockey: Team Canada vs World Team

This is the second match between Team Canada and the World Team. The first time they met was over Canada Day (July 1) where Team Canada crushed Team World with a score of 5-0.

This time around, Team World did some heavy recruiting with members from countries such as Netherlands and the United States. At first it looked like it was a redo of the first game when Canada cruised to an early lead.
By the third period, World scored three unanswered points tying the game to 8-8. World's chance for their first victory was crushed in the final minutes when Canada scored two points. The teams were playing for the coveted Stanley Duck where it has been on display at Big Wave Daves Bar. Team World is sponsored by Bambu Beach; Team Canada, by Big Wave Dave.

Classical Music on the Beach

Bambu Beach hosted Bach on the Beach concert as a food drive benefit for the orphanage in San Jorge, Nicaragua. A five member ensemble from Camareta Bach of Managua, played for a large crowd. The admission to the event was 10 pounds of rice or beans, 10 canned food items, or C$400. All the proceeds went to Nuestros Pequeños Hermanos orphanage.
